NAVY Logo Pandora type Bead
A US Navy Logo as a pandora type bead. This very small logo was a pin from my grandfather, who graduated the Naval Academy in 1913. He had grand contributions to his class, who remebered him with a tribute dedicating Gate 13 at the Stadium in his name. He went on the be the Capitan of the Brooklyn Navy Yard in NY, and assisted in laying the keel for the Missouri. He can be seen in uniform in the photos of that day. He spent 6 years in Manila (Phillipines) creating a water supply system for running water and my mother had very fond memories of her years spent there, and many stories!! I created this bead utilizing the original pin size and making a "sandwich" so the bead is 2 sided. Of course, I added "Go Navy" and Beat Army" for Navy fans. Cast in sterling silver OR Rose Bronze, this is a very special piece!! The bead measures 7/16 tall x 3/8 inch wide. The opening is 5 mm round. This bead can be worn on a bracelet or a neck cord or chain / not included. You can special order a gold alloy bead. Leave that request in "Customer Notes" during check out.
